

A man in Mombasa County has been charged with stealing a car engine following his arrest on April 12.
The suspect identified as Omar Bechalbachi was charged with stealing a car engine from Mahfudh Suleiman at Madhubah area, Mombasa County.
The engine was valued at Ksh.80,000.
Omar appeared before Senior Magistrate Edna Nyaloti on Tuesday where he denied the charge.
The court ordered that he be released on Ksh.100,000 cash bond or a surety of the same amount.
Meanwhile, another suspect, Cyprian Kiragu who appeared before the same court was released on a Ksh.200,000 cash bail after he denied theft charges.

Kiragu had been charged with stealing metal bars estimated to be Ksh.91,875 from the Kenya Petroleum in Changamwe, Mombasa County.
Both cases are set to be heard on April 30.
