Man claiming to be Ntimamas son wants body exhumed

The 60-year-old man who claimed to be the late William Ole Ntimama’s son now wants the court to order the exhumation of his body to enable a DNA test on his paternity claims.

George Kariuki Njoroge has moved to court in an amended petition naming the wife of the late cabinet minister as a respondent.

Kariuki alleges that Ntimama was his biological father and that he has a right to be recognised as a member of the Ntimama family to enable him get an inheritance and be joined as a beneficiary of the family’s wealth.

Njoroge had gone to court to stop Ntimama’s burial on the grounds that the veteran politician was his father but lost the case.

High Court Judge Joseph Onguto ruled that the DNA tests were not urgent enough to delay the burial.
