Man defiles 12-year-old daughter in Migori

Police are pursuing a man who allegedly defiled his 12-year-old step-daughter at Awendo location in Migori County on Monday, August 13.

Area chief Paul Gwada said the suspect committed the act in the evening while his wife had gone to visit her parents.

The suspect’s wife, who had lived with him for barely a month, is said to have returned home only to find her daughter reeling in pain after being defiled by her step-father.

Mr. Gwanda noted that a medical examination on the girl confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted.

The suspect is reported to have fled after the incident with police urging residents to volunteer information on the man’s whereabouts.
