Man defrauds Bishop of Ksh 1.5 million
Police in Kirinyaga county arrested 33 year old Kerugoya businessman for allegedly obtaining over Ksh 1.5 million from Kirinyaga Full Gospel Church Bishop Joshua Kimani by false pretence that he would help him get a vehicle.
According to Kirinyaga County Deputy Commander Charles Ontita, the businessman was given the amount on April 16th this year in agreement that he will buy the Bishop a vehicle, a deal the Bishop says was never respected.
The police boss is now cautioning residents of such fake car dealers within the county.
Ontita further says that the businessman has since been arrested and will be arraigned in court Friday.
