Man Dies As He Tries To Rescue A Chicken

The man is said to have fallen into the well in his efforts to rescue the chicken at Kamonjil village in the county

The chicken belonging to a neighbor of the deceased fell into the 55ft borehole at around 5pm in the evening.

The man is said to have attempted to remove the chicken to prepare it for his supper.

Efforts by the man to remove the chicken in the evening did not materialize as it was too dark.

He however resumed his mission in the morning but as fate had it, he died after falling inside the same well.

Efforts by neighbours to rescue him were futile.

He died at around 9am Tuesday morning after suffocating.

The body was later taken to Kapsabet County Hospital Mortuary.
