Man, fiancé brutally murdered in Murang’a

A village in Mathioya Constituency in Murang’a County is mourning the death of a man and his fiancé who were brutally murdered by unknown assailants in their home on Saturday night.

It is reported that the deceased, Joseph Munyiri and Jane Wambui, were planning to marry against the will of Munyiri’s first estranged wife.

“He reported to me about death threats and after three days this has happens,” said Chief Joseph Macharia.

The area chief acknowledged that Munyiri had reported to him death threats he was receiving from the first wife, warning him against taking a second wife.

The chief told Citizen Digital that he had advised Munyiri to report the same to the police.

Police have already arrested the estranged wife and are ready to prefer charges against her before a court of law.
