Man hacks wife to death, commits suicide in Trans Nzoia

A middle-aged man on Sunday morning hacked his wife to death and hanged himself at their home in Makunga village, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.

According to the neighbours, the man confronted his wife over allegations of infidelity before attacking her with a machete.

The area chief said one of the relatives of the deceased raised an alarm attracting other neighbors who broke into the couple’s two-roomed house and found the two dead.

The woman’s body was lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts on the head while the man had hanged himself.

The bodies were moved to the Kitale County Referral Hospital mortuary.
