Man Kills Brother Over Land Row

James Ireri Wamari hacked his older brother Joseph Murithii Wamari with a panga killing him instantly after a fight erupted between them over a miraa shamba dispute.

Mbeere South OCPD Bernstein Shari said that the two were engaged in a fight when they both rushed into the house and came out with pangas.

Ireri then attacked his brother with the panga slashing him on the head killing him on the spot then,  tried to escape.

The police boss says that the two have been in constant quarrel over the land that they both cultivate.

Ireri has been arrested and is currently being held at Kiritiri Police Station as investigations into the incident continue.

The body of the deceased is at Kiritiri Police Station because of the ongoing dispute between the Embu Provincial General Hospital and the police over placing of bodies at the morgue.
