Man kills friend over Sh400 bill

Residents of Wote in Makueni County were on Wednesday left in shock after a man killed his friend over a Sh400 bill.

The suspect, who is now being held at Wote Police Station, is said to have been drinking with the deceased at a club in town when they started arguing over who should pay the Sh400 bill that they had consumed.

It was at this point the suspect started fighting with the deceased, leaving him with serious injuries that led to his death.

Wote Police Station OCPD Benjamin Onsongo confirmed the incident, saying the suspect will be arraigned in court tomorrow (Friday).

The body of the deceased was taken to the Makueni Hospital mortuary.
