Man kills two step sons in Homabay

A 62-year-old man is on the run after he allegedly killed his two step-sons Monday morning at Ndhiwa in Homabay County.

Eyewitnesses said the man identified as Walter Okara committed the heinous act after a domestic squabble with his wife.

Mary Okara, the deceased’s mother said: “I have dealt with so much suffering and battering since I got married one year ago.”

Ms Okara tried to rush her two sons to hospital before they succumbed to their injuries but was too late.

Her surviving son intimated that his mother’s one-year-old marriage to Mr Okara had been a living hell.

The two, aged 5 and 3 were beaten repeatedly by their step-father then locked in a room and the keys sent to their mother who was working at Ndhiwa Town.

Area chief Samson Omondi confirmed the incident saying he had been receiving complains on frequent
family wrangles but did not expect any such thing to happen.
