Man linked to Parliament police officer Kwamboka’s killing arrested
A man suspected to be behind the murder of Police Constable Hellen Kwamboka has been arrested.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said Erick Onyono Nyakundi was discovered at his hideout in Suam, near the Kenya-Uganda border.
“DCI Detectives from Buruburu today (Saturday) morning arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the brutal killing of Police Constable Hellen Kwamboka on the night of 23rd May 2019,” the investigators said.
They had been trailing him for a week.
Detectives suspect that Nyakundi committed the offence on the said night and then fled.
Kwamboka, who was attached to Parliament, was found laying on her bed in Umoja Estate, Nairobi on May 24, with a deep cut on her head.
