Man Poisons Family in Subukia

The 30 year old Dennis Mwangi is said to have bought rat poison in a nearby Gwa Kahiga shop which he mixed with water and gave the two before drinking it himself.

One of the relatives who visited the home of Mwangi to check on them got worried when he peeped and saw the three lying on the floor in a bad condition.

The wife of the deceased was away working when the incident occured.

Neighbors said Mwangi had visited his family for the weekend and had allegedly threatened to kill them.

“Mwangi’s in-law, Lucy Wambui had informed Subukia police station that the two had been having domestic issues and Mwangi had threatened to kill the wife but efforts to help them did not bore fruits.” said a neighbor.

But Subukia OCPD Alex Ng’ang’a denied the claims saying no report had been recorded of the threats.

The body of the young boy was taken to Nyahururu hospital mortuary.
