Man rapes minor in Kakamega

Police in Likuyani, Kakamega County have arrested a man for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl at Likuyani Forest in Soy.

According to the Acting Deputy Chief Diana Owano, Edwin Sianda, 21, allegedly grabbed the girl as she headed to school and committed the heinous act before trying to flee.

Angry residents, however, nabbed the suspect and took him to Matunda Police station where he is still under custody awaiting arraignment in court.

The girl was taken to hospital by residents where doctors confirmed that she had been raped and are administering treatment.
