Man sentenced to life imprisonment for sodomising 3 school boys

A 38-year-old man was on Thursday sentenced to life imprisonment for sodomising three minors at Gitareni Location in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County.

Appearing before Resident Magistrate Mwanamkuu Sudi, the accused; John Kinyua Ndii, pleaded guilty to the offence of sodomising the three primary school boys aged six, seven and 12 years.

The court heard that on all the occasions after forcing himself on the minors, he used to give them Ksh.10 — an action that would later lead to him being exposed.

On May 31, 2019 a teacher found two boys fighting over a 10 shillings coin and upon interrogation they disclosed that one of them had received the money from the accused.

The teachers went to the home of the suspect whom they seized and handed to Kiamucii Senior Assistant Chief Celina Kanjiru who took him to Chuka Police Station.

A medical report from Chuka County Referral hospital revealed that the three boys had been sexually assaulted.
