Man shot dead in Bungoma town protests

One person has been shot dead in Bungoma town following running battles between police and locals who were protesting against the repeat poll held on Thursday as tallying of votes continues.

The man was gunned down at Mteremko Estate in Bungoma town and his body is still at the scene.

Protests against the repeat poll continue to rock parts of Nyanza and Western regions after NASA leader Raila Odinga asked his supporters to boycott the election.
