Man shot dead in vehicle on Thika Superhighway

An unidentified male motorist was on Tuesday night shot dead on the Thika superhighway.

His vehicle, a Mercedes Benz with registration number KCE 183Z, was sprayed with several bullets killing him instantly.

Police reports indicate that he was waylaid by another vehicle at around 10:00 PM near the Vincentian Prayer Center.

The assailants apparently then proceeded to shoot at the vehicle multiple times before speeding off towards Witeithie Trading Center.

The identity of the deceased still remains unknown even as police intimate that they are following crucial leads.

Forensics specialists and senior police officers also combed the scene of the crime for more clues.

The body has since been moved to Thika General Kago Funeral Home while the vehicle was towed to Thika Police Station.
