Man stabbed to death in attempt to stop fighting couple

A middle aged man was stabbed to death while he was allegedly trying to separate a couple who were fighting inside their house at Tudor area in Mombasa County.

According to the area Nyumba Kumi  chairman Benson Okello, the deceased was stabbed several times after he tried to rescue the 25-year-old woman whose husband was accusing of allegedly using contraceptives to prevent him from having babies.

Okelo said that following the incident, irate members of the public descended on the couple injuring them badly.

The two are currently fighting for their lives at the Coast general hospital ICU unit in Mombasa County.

According to Mrs Riziki Said ,the two have been having domestic problems for a long time over the alleged family planning.

The two have a one five-year-old boy.
