Man stripped naked, hacked to death in Homa Bay

A 39-year-old man was on Sunday night hacked to death by unknown assailants and his body dumped near Kodula Trading Centre in Rachuonyo North, Homa Bay County.

The deceased identified as George Onyango died after being struck several times with a machete in an attack whose motive is yet to be established.

Confirming the incident, area Chief Jacob Atonga said the deceased who was drunk had deep cuts on the neck, head and back.

According to the Chief, the deceased was on his way home from Kawaka village but upon reaching Kodula market, he met a group of people who were armed with crude weapons.

They stripped man half naked before slashing him with a machete and dumping his body by the roadside.

The body was moved to Kendu Adventist Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
