A Nairobi court has sentenced a man who released a video of Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip smoking shisha in the company of a woman identified as Aeedah Bambi to one-year imprisonment.

Jones Ochieng Mbolo had pleaded guilty to attempting to extort money from the woman in the video, Aeedah ‘Bambi’ Pesian Ahmed.

While sentencing him, Magistrate Martha Mutuku said that Mbolo was not remorseful for his actions.

The court heard that he threatened Aeedah that he would expose on social media platforms the video taken of her contravening the law by smoking shisha.

In the case, Senator Loitiptip had been listed as one of the witnesses.
