Man who shot hotelier KOsewe charged with attempted murder

The man who allegedly shot the owner of a renown restaurant, Ranalo Foods, famously referred to as K’Osewe, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Tom Oywa Mboya is alleged to have attempted to murder two people, William Kosewe, the owner of the restaurant, and Wilfred Ombunya Tembula, a security guard.

It is alleged that on December 1, 2016 at Garden Estate within Kasarani area in Nairobi County, the accused attempted to cause death of the two.

He, however, denied the charges before a Milimani Court Senior Principal Magistrate, Charity Oluoch, who released him on a cash bail of Ksh 300,000.

The Magistrate has also ordered that the accused not be within the vicinity of the victim or the hotel where the incident took place.

The suspect has further been warned not to interfere with witnesses and not to leave the court’s jurisdiction.

The matter will be heard on February 1, 2017.
