Man who stabbed friend to death over Ksh.30 hangs self in custody

A 25-year-old man who was arrested after stabbing a friend to death over a quarrel over Ksh.30 committed suicide in custody.

Kennedy Muriithi is reported to have stabbed his friend eight times over a disagreement over money.

He was arrested on the same day but police say his lifeless body was was found hanging in a toilet on Sunday night.

Central OCPD Robinson Thuku told Citizen Digital that Mureithi had been allowed to visit the washrooms and when he failed to return, the officers on duty went to check on him and found him hanging.

It is believed he used his shoe lace.
