Mandera court sentences Ugandan national to 30yrs in jail over terror links

A Ugandan national was on Tuesday sentenced to 30 years in prison after he was found guilty of involvement in terror activities.

According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Abdu Rashid Ssekajigo Alias Sheikh Ibrahim is believed to be a member of a terrorist group.

The accused, who was convicted at the High Court in Mandera, was allegedly found in possession of terrorism materials.

He was also accused of recruiting two Congolese nationals into the terrorist group.
