Man’s body found dumped near government offices in Siaya

A body of a 37-year-old man was on Saturday found dumped by roadside near the department of public works offices in Bondo town, Siaya County.

According to the Administration Police Commandant for Maranda division Inspector Baoz Odero, the body of the man who was identified as Fredrick Omondi Otiato was found by a passerby who then raised alarm.

He stated that the man’s body, which had no visible injuries, was found a few meters from where he has been staying near the public works offices.

Inspector Odero stated that the cause of the man’s death was yet to be established. He, however, noted that Omondi, who has been staying alone after he separated with his wife a couple of years ago, had been reported to be ailing.

The body was moved to Bondo Sub-county hospital mortuary pending a postmortem.

Inspector Odero stated that investigations had already began to ascertain the cause of the death.
