Market lacks toilets because of land grabbing –MCA
Embu County Assembly representative has on Thursday expressed fear that traders of Kibugu market in Nginda area are likely to contract diseases owing to lack of toilets and water in the area.
Nginda ward MCA Antony Mugera said that kibugu market has poor sanitation which puts the traders at risk of contracting waterborne diseases owing to lack of toilets and water in the trading premises.
“Kibugu Market lacks such facilities due to land grabbing. The land grabbed was allocated for social amenities to help the traders during their businesses,” said the area MCA.
He added that the land set for bus park was also grabbed thus making the planning of the town hard since with such facilities the town planning would led to congestion in future.
He appealed to the public to return the land grabbed with immediate effect to put out the risk of contracting possible diseases should be given back immediately so as to put things in order.
