Mashujaa Day celebrations kick off in Kakamega

Kenyans have already thronged Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County to celebrate this year’s Mashujaa Day.

A spot check by Citizen Digital showed residents making their way to the stadium as early as 6am, with some of those in attendance stating their expectations for the day.

President Uhuru Kenyatta who is already in Kakamega is expected to lead Kenyans in the celebrations.

Namibia President Hage Geingob is also expected to be the chief guest in the celebrations, marking the 8th time since the promulgation of the Constitution.
