A rogue matatu driver who was caught on video insulting a female motorist and then breaking her car windscreen has been arrested.
The driver of the Mataara Sacco matatu registration number KCK 114P was captured in the undated amateur video recorded by the victim.
He is heard, in the video, telling the woman; “Wewe nipige video haina shida,” to which the lady responds, “utaona, tusi yote.”
He then goes ahead to hit her car on the left side, thereby breaking her side mirror, as he says “sitagharamia” while she responds “gonga tu, pasua!”
The rogue driver then goes ahead of the female motorist and smashes her car windscreen, while barking “sitagharamia, umbwa!” as he drives off.
The driver has since been nabbed and is being held at a police station in Thika where the vehicle has also been impounded.
Citizen Digital cannot, however, independently confirm the events leading to the incident.
