Matatu driver lynched for stealing goats

A matatu driver was lynched early Wednesday morning at Gikumari area in Ruiru, Kiambu County, after he was allegedly nabbed with stolen goats.

The driver and his turn boy are said to have raided a home in Gikumari village at midnight where they stole the goats.

It is said that the residents set a trap for them just before they got to the eastern bypass where the turn boy managed to escape, leaving the driver behind.

The driver was stoned and lynched by the owners of the goats.
