Matatu driver who hit Raila’s car charged in court

A matatu driver whose car hit the vehicle of CORD leader Raila Odinga has been charged with careless driving.

The driver, Simon Kinoti, appeared before the Kibra Law Court.

He is accused that on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016 in Karen area committed a traffic offence.

The father of six pleaded guilty to the charges before senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi.

He said it was as this was his first accident and begged the court for leniency but was fined Ksh 30,000 or serve a three-month jail term.
