Matatu, Tuk Tuk Operators Row In Malindi

Matatu operators in Gongoni, Mambrui and Marereni areas have already gone on strike over the wrangle and have barricaded Malindi-Lamu road at Sabaki river, distrupting transport.

Led by Malindi matatu owners association chair Badawy Mohammed, the operators complain the tuk-tuk operators should only operate within the city centre only and not invade their territories.

However, tuk-tuk operators chair Samson Mwambi has defended his members saying they opted to move outside town centre due to poor business and to complement matatus.
