Mbadi says NASA intact as Midiwo calls for dissolution of IEBC Secretariat

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party national chairman, John Mbadi, has sought to clarify that there is no discord in the National Super Alliance (NASA) over the nominations exercise and the naming of the presidential flag bearer.

Mbadi said comments being made by politicians on the NASA progress are not the official position of the opposition coalition adding that any communication can only be done by the co-principals or the technical committee.

Speaking in Uriri Sub County during the burial of the former Member of Parliament for Uriri, Cyprian Ojwang Omollo, Mbadi said that everything is set within the NASA coalition and supporters should stay put.

The Suba Legislator further said that NASA is currently closer to the presidency than Jubilee saying they have many voting blocks compared to the ruling party.

The ODM party chairman said NASA is targeting not less than 88 percent voters turn out in 2017 in all its strong holds to win the presidential post.

While accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta for the current ouster of Auditor General, Edward Ouko, Mbadi said the opposition will not allow that to happen.

Speaking at the same function Gem Member of Parliament, Jakoyo Midiwo, said the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Secretariat must be dissolved and a new one formed before the next election.
