MCA accuses Kwale GSU of assaulting business people

A member of the Kwale County Assembly now wants some officers from the General Service Unit (GSU) disciplined for allegedly assaulting some business operators at the county’s Wamasa Trading Center in Kinango.

Puma Ward MCA James Dawa has challenged the County Commissioner, and other security stakeholders, to take action against the officers.

The officers allegedly tortured business people at Wamasa accusing them of auctioning 20 goats that were stolen from Mackonon Area.

Dawa claims that 10 youth were seriously injured by the GSU officers who led the squad in search and recovery of the stolen livestock. He also expressed his displeasure in the way police officers torment innocent Kenyans while dispensing their duty urging them respect human rights and exercise restraint when dealing with security issues.
