MCA Jailed For 15 Years On Rape Charges

Luka Mas Hura, Ntimaru-East Ward MCA, was charged with raping a class 6 pupil on 11th May 2014.

Luka was also fined 10,000 shillings for escaping from custody.

He appeared before Rongo resident magistrate Purity Rugut.

Elsewhere, police in Mogotio are holding a 35 year-old man suspected of defiling his 6 year-old daughter at Ngusero Area, Baringo County.

Confirming the incident area Police Boss Patrick Nyanga-Resi said the young girl has been taken to Mogotio health centre for treatment.

Nyange-Resi said the girl's mother reported the matter to police leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Investigations into the incident have been launched.
