MCA Wants MCAs Spouses Compensated For Loneliness

Even as the Salaries and Remuneration Commission seeks to curb expenses especially on foreign trips and allowances by members of county assemblies, a member of the Embu County Assembly is pushing for more allowances. The Runyenjes county representative wants the spouses of MCAs to be paid allowances for the loneliness they suffer while their other halves are busy serving the public. And as Anne Mawathe reports, the proposal has drawn mixed reaction from his counterparts and members of the public.
