Meru Leaders Back Muthauras Appointment

Is the Ameru political leadership changing tune? In a surprise turn of events, political leaders including the chairman of the Meru parliamentary group Mithika Linturi now support the appointment of former head of civil service ambassador Francis Muthaura to head the multibillion Lappset project…a cross-section of the leaders had earlier expressed their discontent when the appointment was gazetted saying president Kenyatta was wrong to deny the young generation the slot and further complained some parts of their region were left out in state appointments.…but as Jacky Maribe reports, what was to be a unified stand against Muthaura’s appointment at the Kinoru stadium turned into a chorus in support of his new job.
