Midiwo Wants IEBC Team Arrested
According to Midiwo, the chairman should be held accountable for the 30 billion shillings spent on BVR kits which failed during the March 2013 general election.
Midiwo is also calling for the immediate disbandment of the IEBC, saying the commission should not be allowed to conduct the planned digital registration of persons.
These calls come just a week after the government announced plans to register all Kenyans afresh using an electronic system that will capture all the biometric details of the registered persons.
During the announcement, Deputy President William Ruto revealed that a technical team from the ministries of interior affairs and information, communication technology was working on the modalities of rolling out the fresh registration that is expected to take 6 months.
Midiwo was speaking at Wagai in Gem constituency during the disbursement of bursary funds to school heads.
