The office of Migori County Governor Okoth Obado has rubbished claims linking him to the abduction of Nation journalist Barack Oduor and the late Sharon Otieno.

According to Migori County communications boss Nicholas Anyuor, the allegations are meant to damage the reputation of the Governor.

He further demanded that the media refrain from associating Obado with unsubstantiated claims that he allegedly impregnated and abandoned the university student.

Sharon Otieno was on Wednesday morning found dead in Kodera Forest, two days after she went missing.

The pregnant student had reportedly been abducted alongside the Nation journalist on Monday evening.

Oduor however managed to escape by jumping out of the moving vehicle that his abductors had bundled them into.
