Migori man kills wife after disagreement

A 48 year old man is being held by police in Migori after he was linked to the death of his 26-year-old wife Eunice Auma.

The accused, Maurice Ouma Ugaya, is said to have quarreled with his wife on several occasions over yet to be established issues.

According to Nyatike OCPD Dishon Chebaka, the couple had a disagreement over family affairs that culminated into the death of the 26 year old.

Chebaka said the deceased suffered hemorrhage after being assaulted by the suspect and was rushed to Migori Level Four Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Chebaka says the accused went into hiding but was cornered and arrested by the police.

The body of the deceased is currently at the Migori Level Four hospital mortuary awaiting an autopsy.

Elsewhere, a middle age man committed suicide at Koderobara village in Rongo Sub County after an alleged squabble with his wife.

Rongo OCPD Kisaka Muganda said the deceased, identified as Evans Okoth, took his life after disagreeing with his wife.

Kisaka said the body of the deceased was found dangling from a rope inside his house.

He said the police have launched investigations into the matter.
