Migori: Two brothers in hospital with panga cuts following fight over a tree

Two brothers have been hospitalized in critical condition following a fight over a tree at Nyango village in Suna East, Migori County.

Brian Odoyo (25) is at Migori Level Four Hospital while Ouko Odoyo (30) is receiving treatment at Ojele Memorial Hospital after they were involved in a fight with their eldest brother, 40-year-old Moi Odoyo.

The area administrator told Citizen Digital said the fight began when Ouko cut a tree on Moi’s land without his authority.

When Moi reportedly confronted Ouko demanding to know why he trespassed, the latter allegedly responded violently by hitting the former with a club, after which Moi then attacked Ouko with a panga.

The younger brother – Brian Odoyo – reportedly joined in the middle of the fight also with a panga in support of his eldest brother, Moi.

The fight left all the three siblings injured, but the eldest – Moi – has since been treated and discharged while the two are still receiving treatment.

The administrator further added that the matter is now under police investigation and necessary action will be taken.
