Migori: Witch doctor stabbed severally by unknown attackers

Police in Awendo Sub County have launched investigations after a local witch doctor was stabbed severally and left for the dead inside a sugarcane plantation in Awendo.

Area Chief Nancy Odero said the victim, identified as a 50-year-old Christopher Odoyo was found lying in a pool blood by farmworkers at the sugar plantation.

Chief Odero said the victim was rushed to the Migori Level Four Hospital where he is receiving treatment.

According to the victim’s wife, Odoyo had left his home in the company of several people who had travelled from Homa Bay.

The visitors had approached Odoyo seeking his services on a matter that is yet to be disclosed.

Police officers handling the matter will be seeking to find out what transpired before the witch doctor was discovered at the plantation.
