Miguna Miguna finally boards plane to Nairobi

Embattled lawyer Miguna Miguna has finally boarded a Kenyan-bound plane and is set to arrive in the country on Wednesday morning.

An excited Miguna, taking to Twitter, announced that he was “home bound” and would be touching down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 9:45am.

“A Kenyan by BIRTH and RIGHT. Kenyans are not slaves. Freedom must come through the fearless the pursuit of truth and justice. See you in Nairobi,” he wrote.

Unbowed! Dynamic. Resourceful.

Arrival: JKIA, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 at 9:45 a.m.

Patriots: Blame the rogue despot for the desperate, cowardly and illegal red alert. Blame the despot for the continued disobedience of multiple court orders. @lufthansa is an accomplice but not the primary offender. Viva!

Miguna’s return was earlier thrown into uncertainty after he was barred from boarding a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt, Germany, to Kenya.

Speaking to Hot96FM via phone on Tuesday morning, the self-declared National Resistance Movement-Kenya (NRM-K) General claimed Lufthansa air had received a red-alert preventing them from flying him to Kenya or any other African country.

“I am at the Lufthansa check in and they are saying the Kenyan security has blocked me from entering Kenya. In fact, the Kenya Government has demanded that Lufthansa must refund my fare. They have demanded that Lufthansa should not fly me into any other African country, either,” he said.

“Lufthansa flight manager is saying that the Government of Kenya must send an official communication to Lufthansa at Frankfurt office before I can be allowed to fly to Kenya or any other African country.”

Miguna, who vied for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in 2017 – albeit unsuccessfully – was deported for the first time on February 7, 2018.

He was deported for the second time on March 29 that same year after he attempted to get back into the country.
