Military uniform recovered as five suspected gang members arrested

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested five members of a suspected criminal gang at Zanzibar area in Rurii, Nakuru County.

The sleuths, acting on a tip off from members of the public, raided the location on Monday around midnight and ambushed the five.

The suspects – Clinton Engoke Isandura (38), Evans Siocha Mose (27), Ephantus Kariuki Mwangi (22), Peter Gachiengu Kariuki (22) and Betty Wanjiku Githuku (38) – are said to have been drunk in the single room when the operation was conducted.

The officers recovered two pairs of military uniform, rolls of bhang, bottles of alcohol and several sim cards from the scene.

The five are presently under police custody pending further investigations.
