Ministry, Kidero to form team to improve service to youth

Gender and Youth Affairs Cabinet Secretary, Sicily Kariuki, has assured Nairobi residents that the national government would continue collaborating with Governor Evans Kidero’s administration to improve service delivery, especially to the youth.

Speaking on Thursday, September 29 at Harambee House during a meeting with Governor Kidero, Ms Kariuki mentioned several areas of engagement between the two governments through the Affirmative Action’s Fund and the National Youth Service (NYS).

Dr Kidero appealed to the Ministry to seek ways that will add value to service delivery to Nairobians, particularly the youth.

“An idle mind is a dangerous one, so it will be in our interest to engage the youth to be productive in their areas of business,” Governor Kidero Said.

The two leaders agreed to form an inter-governmental team to drive the new initiative.
