Missing State House Limo Recovered In Uganda

Police say the vehicle was recovered this morning abandoned at a deserted road in Tororo in eastern Uganda.

Bungoma CID boss Peter Mabeya says Kenyan police are now in contact with authorities in Uganda for further investigations.

The vehicle was carjacked on Wednesday last week in Ruiru after its driver attached to State House was attacked.

Meanwhile, Aggrey Odhiambo a mechanic based in Nakuru has been charged in court over the incident after police claimed he had information that might lead to the recovery of the limo.

Lawyer Cliff Ombetta insists his client is innocent, but admits the BMW was driven to his garage where its occupants had gone to check on the progress of another vehicle he is also accused of stealing.

Nairobi Police boss Benson Kibue said the first report on the incident was made by Machui, the driver of the limo, who told police in Ruai that the vehicle belonged to State House.

The official police report indicated that, Machui was attacked by armed robbers who were armed with AK47 assault rifles while driving home.

The hunt for the vehicle and suspects begun on Wednesday August 27th.
