Mob kills man after he murdered his girlfriend
A fourth year student at Egerton University in Njoro was on Friday night stabbed to death by her boyfriend in her hostel.
The 23-year-old education student was stabbed several times by her 27-year-old boyfriend following a domestic quarrel over an alleged secret love affair.
Residents heard screams during the incident, and broke into the house to find that the female student had already passed away. They immediately descended on the man, killing him on the spot.
Neighbours say the two lovers, who have been cohabiting for more than a year, have been having domestic differences.
Elsewhere, 36-year-old man died in Kisauni, Mombasa after his pregnant wife attacked him with a wife in an attempt to chop off his private parts.
Eyewitnesses say the deceased was attacked by his wife after arriving home late from a drinking spree in Bamburi area.
The man was rushed to a private hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have launched a man hunt for the deceased man’s wife who is still at large.
Meanwhile, UK police have offered a Ksh1.5 million reward for any information on Angela Whitworth, a woman believed to be hiding in Kenya after allegedly murdering her child in the UK.
UK’s Thames Valley Police have said on their website that the re-appeal for information concerned the death of 20-month-old Sarah Dahane.
UK’ senior investigating officer Ian Hunter says the body of the young child was found on the 16th of May in 2013 at a property in Oxfordshire.
Hunter says a warrant was issued for Whitworth, whom he said traveled to Kenya a day before Dahane’s body was found.
