Molo MP apologizes after turning up at a meeting drunk

Just a day after Molo Member of Parliament Kimani Kuria caused chaos when he attended a meeting drunk, he has come out to apologize to his constituents, saying that mistakes happen.

Speaking at a development event in Chesingele secondary school, Kimani said that he is ready to move on to other more important issues in his region further vowing to fight the menace of illicit brew in Molo.

The legislator further urged residents to join him in his commitment saying that he will not relent until the battle against the menace is won.

The Molo Member of Parliament Kuria Kimani hit the headlines on Thursday after showing up for a meeting drunk.

The legislator’s actions angered many of the area residents as the meeting was convened to discuss how to deal with the alcohol menace.

Mr. Kimani had to practically be hoisted over the fence and supported to his seat before he was eventually ushered away from the venue.

“We were surprised by what happened; our MP, who we look upto to help us deal with alcohol, came here drunk out of his wits,” said one of the area residents.

“He has brought us shame. We used to love him but he his actions today left us in shock,” added another.
