Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho admitted to hospital

Governor Ali Hassan Joho has revealed that he has spent the last five days at a hospital in Mombasa.

Speaking from Mombasa Hospital on Friday, Joho expressed hope that he will be released soon.

“I have been watching this TV yaani naomba Mungu nasema ningetoka hapa, wacha tu… But God is good,” Joho said.

He however did not reveal what he is ailing from even though a section of the media quoted his Communications Director Richard Chacha as indicating that it is malaria.

On Friday, the Governor who is also ODM’s deputy party leader, congratulated their Kibra poll candidate Imran Okoth for winning the seat.

Joho said: “What has given more strength and makes me feel better is the results of Kibra… But I will be in Kibra soon to celebrate with my brother Imran.”

The ODM leader further took a swipe at Deputy President William Ruto’s over his ‘bedroom’ remarks.

“We knew it was going to go that way….. Those others never knew that before you get into the bedroom you have to pass through a gate, the living room and many other doors before you get to the bedroom,” said Joho.

With Joho on Friday was former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo who had paid him a courtesy call.

“Get well soon and go bouncing back to work and I hope to see you in Nigeria one of these days,” said Obasanjo.
