Mombasa man claims he was Johos classmate in secondary school

A heated debate is raging over Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s secondary education with the Kenya National examinations Council (KNEC) disowning a result slip showing that Joho sat for the KCSE examination in 1992 at Serani Secondary School.

The debate has now taken a new direction with information emerging that Joho did sit his KCSE examinations in 1993 and not 1992 as indicated on the results slip.

A man, who is a Mombasa County resident, has come to the defence of the besieged governor claiming that he schooled with Joho through secondary education, from Form one to Form four, and sat for KCSE in 1993.

The witness, Juma Hamed, insisted that the government is maliciously targeting Joho on the issue.

Political analyst – Barrack Muluka – faulted the government for isolating Joho’s case saying the entire parliament is littered with politicians who barely made it through their secondary education.

Muluka termed the whole debate as ‘petty politics and witch hunting.’
