Most wanted thug lynched in Thika

A notorious thug from Malaba in Komo Location of Juja Sub County, Kiambu County was in the wee hours of Monday morning lynched by an irate mob after he, in the company of three others, attacked and killed a boda boda rider and his passenger.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a police source told Citizen Digital that the boda boda operator from Witeithie stage was ferrying a commuter from the stage to Malaba at 3 am on Sunday before they were attacked by thugs bearing crude weapons.

Both the rider and his passengers were stabbed severally and left for dead before being robbed of Sh25,000, mobile phones and other valuables.

The incident prompted boda boda operators in the area to launch a manhunt for the thugs, one of whom was found hiding in a woman’s house and killed then his body burned.

Police from Thika Police Station removed the charred remains of the suspects to Thika Level 5 Hospital’s General Kago Funeral Home and Anatomy Lab

According to our source, the deceased is among criminals wanted by the police for a series of robberies, burglaries and mugging in Witeithie, Molo and Malaba estates.
