Mother of two gang raped during home invasion in Nakuru

A mother of two is receiving treatment at Nairobi Women’s Hospital in Nakuru after she was gang raped by four men who broke into her house at Landi Shopping Center in Turi, Molo Sub County.

The men who were armed with crude weapons reportedly told the woman who owns a retail shop that they had been sent to kill her if she didn’t give them Ksh400,000.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, the victim said the men who were wearing heavy jackets forced her to open her shop, which is adjacent to her house and give them the money. They then raped her before escaping with her money and mobile phone.

Nakuru County women representative Mary Mbugua called on the government to enhance security, saying that such cases of home invasion were on the rise.

The victim’s family members have urged police officers in Molo to investigate the incident and bring the criminals to book.
