Motorists stuck in traffic for over 20 hours on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway
Transport along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway has been paralyzed for over 20 hours due to ongoing road repairs.
Motorists were forced to spend the night on the highway following the huge traffic snarl-up.
According to motorists, the build-up started at the Gilgil weighbridge on Friday at around 5pm.
Traders are also reported to have made a killing following the traffic with bread selling at Ksh.200 up from the usual Ksh.50.
Drivers and travellers stranded on the highway agonised over the situation.
Traffic officers are working to ensure traffic flow resumes.
